Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park
Pickup from Kampala at 6.00AM. Begin the journey driving northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes you past the famous Luweero Triangle. Upon reaching the park, drive to the Top of the Falls, a great place to enjoy the sounds and sights of the most beautiful falls on the Nile River. Take great shots of the falls, a true maste piece of nature. Drive to the lodge and check in at one of the lodges in the Nile. Go for an evening game drive through the savanna grasslands of Murchison Falls National Park to catch with the late grazers. Overnight at Red Chilli Lodge (Budget) / Pakuba Safari Lodge (Midrange) / Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury)
Day 2: Game Drives in Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early for game drives through the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Look out for interesting wildlife that include elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos as well as antelopes of various kinds. Do not miss out the hunt for the big cats. If you are lucky, you will see lions and leopards. The game drive will take you across the savanna along Lake Albert Delta, a region that has abundant wildlife.
After the game drive, go for a 3 hour boat cruise along the Nile. The journey takes you to the Bottom of the Murchison Falls. Lots of wildlife can spotted on the banks of the river including large mammals that come for a drink during a hot day. We will have lunch and then hit the road for a return journey back to Kampala. Drop off late evening in Kampala or Entebbe.
